Rajiv Gupta Founder and CEO
Rajiv Gupta founded Securent, Inc., and leads the company as CEO, directing Securent’s overall strategy and direction in the application entitlement management market. He has more than 17 years of successful enterprise software and security experience, and is widely recognized as a pioneer of Web Services. Prior to Securent, he was the Founder and CEO of Confluent Software, where he led efforts for the successful development and growth of its policy-based web-services management product, before Confluent was acquired by Oblix in 2004. Before founding Confluent, Gupta spent 11 years at Hewlett-Packard, most recently as the General Manager of the E-speak Division, a division he started in 1998 to bring to market the E-speak technology that he and his team developed at HP Labs. E-speak is the precursor to the Web Service offerings from many major IT companies, and has been inducted into the Smithsonian National Museum. Gupta is the inventor or co-inventor of some of the seminal concepts that underpin Web Services, and has more than 45 patents to his name. He earned his Master’s degree and PhD in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology, and his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Sekhar Sarukkai Co-Founder and CTO
Sekhar Sarukkai is the co-founder and CTO of Securent, Inc., where he leads technology strategy and development for the company. He brings to Securent more than 15 years of successful enterprise software and security experience. Prior to founding Securent, Sarukkai was the co-founder and CTO of Confluent Software, a leading web-services security and management company. When Confluent was acquired by Oblix (now part of Oracle) in 2004, Sarukkai served as Oblix’s technical evangelist and helped drive Oblix’s move to a common SOA-enabled security architecture for all Oblix identity management and access products. Prior to Confluent/Oblix, Sarukkai was the chief architect for Hewlett-Packard’s E-speak program, where he led efforts covering web-service programming models, routing, registries, and management. Prior to his E-speak work, Sarukkai worked at HP labs where he was granted many patents in the areas of parallel computing, dynamic load balancing, web caching, and one of the earliest patents on browsing the web using speech. Prior to joining HP, Sarukkai worked at NASA Ames Research Center. Sarukkai holds Master’s degree and PhD in Computer Science from Indiana University.

Carmen Parisi Vice President of Sales
As Securent’s Vice President of Sales, Carmen Parisi is responsible for market development for the company’s application entitlement management products through direct sales. Parisi brings more than 20 years of software sales expertise to Securent, and has a proven track record for delivering top line growth and bottom line profits through strategic business management and effective team building. Previously, he served as Vice President of Sales at Credant Technologies, a mobile data protection company. Before that, Parisi held senior executive sales positions at Netegrity, where he was responsible for increasing Netegrity’s client base from 30 to 500+ customers and establishing relationships with key systems integrators – growing product and service revenues from $2M to $60M in three years. Parisi has also served in sales executive roles at Onlive Technologies, Verity, VMark Software, and Auto-Trol Technology. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Redlands University.

Ranjeet Vidwans Vice President of Business Development
Ranjeet Vidwans brings more than 10 years of business development and management experience in the security and identity management fields to his Vice President of Business Development role at Securent. In this position, Vidwans is responsible for the strategy and execution of all elements of Securent’s partner landscape, spanning consultancies, systems integrators, and technology partners. Before Securent, Vidwans ran outbound Product Management at Oracle for their Identity Management portfolio. He joined Oracle as a result of their 2005 acquisition of Thor Technologies, the leading supplier of user provisioning solutions for Fortune 500/Global 2000 firms. At Thor, Vidwans served in senior leadership roles in Business Development and Product Management. Previously, he served in various consulting, sales, and management capacities at Entrust, enCommerce, and Cambridge Technology Partners. Vidwans holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University.
