Catalyst Recap
With over 2,000 attendees and topics ranging across application platforms, collaboration initiatives, risk management and security, the Burton
Catalyst Conference initiated the fusion of cutting-edge technology and real-world adoption. Amid key-topics surfacing, Entitlement
Management became a conference highlight with Securent contributing its industry and thought leadership throughout the conference.
Kicking off pre-conference discussions, Securent hosted a dedicated Entitlement Roundtable attended by enterprise and security architects from ten
major financial, high technology and healthcare organizations. With a mix of existing customers and companies looking into Securent’s Entitlement
Management Solution, the discussion was highly engaging and demonstrated the surging level of interest in this critical new discipline.
During the conference, Securent customers Timothy Moore of The First American Corporation and Jason Rogers of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan delivered
real-world insight, with well attended presentations covering “Architecting and Implementing an Enterprise-wide Entitlement Infrastructure ” and “Turning
the SOA Dream into Reality with XACML-based Entitlement Management Security.”

scenarios, showing an ability to send/receive authorization decision requests and exchange policies with other participating vendors.

New Securent Webinar: The Next Wave in Identity and Access Management
July 31st 10:00am PDT/1:00pm EDT
Guest speakers:
Jonathan Penn, Vice President & Research, Forrester Research
Andras Cser, Senior Analyst, Forrester Research
Analysts from independent firm Forrester Research will discuss developing and deploying an enterprise policy framework, powered by an Entitlement Management solution, to address the security needs of critical enterprise applications. A policy management framework governs access rights, or entitlements, and delivers it as a robust infrastructure service that can be shared and leveraged across many applications.
In the absence of such a policy framework, enterprises would have to embed security logic into applications and thus impact developer productivity and business agility. In addition, organizations face increased risks and costs from managing entitlements in silos, while also rendering governance and compliance difficult, if not impossible, to achieve.
During this webcast, you will learn:
- Why traditional Identity and Access Management tools are inadequate to address today’s complex enterprise security requirements
- Why Forrester Research considers Entitlement Management a critical component of an identity-enabled infrastructure
- How to create an effective policy management framework with an Entitlement Management solution
- How Securent’s product integrates with your applications and existing IAM and security infrastructures
